At school |
My name is Lina Donata Rechichi.
I teach Italian language, History and Geografy at San
Benedetto school, Rome, Italy.
My school is in a quarter of Rome called "Centocelle", and it's a "scuola
media statale". "Statale" means public school, "media" means that
the pupils are old between 11 and 14. But some student are 15 o 16 because they repeated
one or two 'class', that is 1 or 2 years of school. The meaning of Italian term
"classe" is different from English "class"... but it is a complex
topic, concerning the school system in our country.
I agree with Janet (my leader in the Clubhouse) about the "wonderful and
terrible" age of kids! I love working with them too, but sometime I'm getting a
little angry with them! |

Looking out the window |
I live in Rome, in Salario quarter.
Ancient (III Century) Aurelianus Wall is near.
I go to school by car, about 10 kilometre (6 miles). It took me thirty five minutes to get
to the school, sometime more because of the trafic. Where I leave another problem is
parking, but I hope things will going better, because now there is a residents' parking
zone. I'm not sure because Italian people often doesn't respect the rules of city traffic
so it's possible that I find the parking zone full of cars - but a cars of people who
doesn't leave in the quarter!
Luckely, looking out the window of my house, I see the trees of Villa Albani, an ancient
noble palace with a large park. |

Massimo e Lina in Spain |
My husband and I have two daughter:
Silvia and Elisabetta. Both of them have a degree (engineering and physic). Elisabetta
lives still with us, Silvia lives in another house, not far from my house. She has gone
away a short time ago.
My husband's name is Massimo. He's a public administration manager. We got married in
1967! Massimo is very patient: usually he doesn't grumble about the lot of time I spend at
my computer!
In teacher page of Modern teen Magazine there are my self introduction too.
