Inami School
Graduation Song

Sung to the Melody of Auld Lang Syne

Students singing:

HOTARU NO HIKARI

lights from a firefly

MADO NO YUKI

snow at the window

FUMIYOMU TSUKIHI KASANETSUTSU

reading a lot of literature - many books (or letters literally)

ITSUSHIKA TOSHIMO SUGINOTOU

years have passed rapidly

AKETEZOKESAWA WAKAREYUKU

we are separating now

My interpretation when singing at the graduation ceremony is as follows:

We studied a lot, even at night by the light of fireflies or the moonlight's reflection on the snow. Years passed quickly and we are now graduating from school.
