Every day some people from Albania land on the coasts of Puglia in Italy; they haven’t got visa, so they are stopped from the police.

They come to Italy because it is a ‘rich’ country, on the contrary, in Albania, they don’t find jobs and live in bad conditions. They pay a lot of money to come to Puglia by some ships that stop in the middle of the sea where they are obliged to get off.
When they arrive in Italy, they sleep and eat in assistance centres. They earn their living doing poor jobs: glasswashers, pedlars at the traffic lights ecc… The lucky ones work in small stalls at markets.
This problem is seriously because we want to help them, but they are so
