Janet I've been teaching for 37 years: students from 4 to 94. Now is an exciting time to be in education because there is so much to learn and teach. The possibilites are endless. Communication has made our world so much better as we can begin to understand each other. I have always been a Star Trek fan and anxiously await the time when we can transport from one spot to another to visit and learn. It will come someday. In the meantime, we can visit each other virtually through the works we create together. If you want to know more visit my homepage
Victor This is my first year at Grant High School.  I have taught for LAUSD (the Los Angeles Unified School District) since 1981.  Grant is like any school in the district.  There are, however, some very special folks I teach with, a playful "intelligentsia", if I may say so, who make my experience very rewarding and set a standard for teaching that keeps me from burning out, because of the passion they still have considering the social and professional barriers they are up against daily.

Lina

I'm an Italian language, History and Geography teacher, but, long time ago, I got a degree in classical philology. Later I specialized in Psycology and I worked some years  as school psychologist. Later again, I became an  It., Hist. & Geo. teacher in a middle school, (from 1982 my school is the San Benedetto of Rome) but my favourite subject, since my childhood, continued to be Maths! Obviously it isn't a subject that could be learned as hobby, so I didn't know it good.
I think that my big interest in computer, which I developed for not many   years,  has replaced Maths.
Anyway I  too appreciate  the big possibilities of our time about learning and know.  I have an inclination towards throwing myself  into  too difficult jobs, and spending a lot of my spare time to them.  People often think I'm good, but I'm just stubborn.
But I couldn't learn English language, so I'm  slow on the communicate with my new friends in the Net! The worst thing is that I have many difficulties in explining my thoughts.
The most important thing in my life?  My family.

Tiziana I’m another teacher of the ‘San Benedetto’ school and, as Lina, my subjects are: italian language, history and geography; I take a great interest in computer, particularly for its use in the school so I try to work with   in the Net but I have a lot to learn!!
I have many interests: from music to cinema, from literature to history; in particular I like very much Archeology and Pedagogy.
My favourite hobby is cooking because I find relax in it, especially if I try to cook difficult dishes; besides, I like all the jobs in which you have to be patient and careful; my friends tell me I am boring!!
In the last period I’m interested also in african, southamerican and arabian culture. A last thing: I love a lot CATS!!!
